What Are the FMP Momentum Leaders?
The FMP Momentum Leaders list is the centrepiece of Finer Market Points' thematic momentum research — a weekly ranking of the 10 strongest-performing ASX stocks by quarterly price performance. Thematic momentum research at FMP means identifying which investment themes are driving market leadership right now, classifying each company as a core, peripheral, or adjacent participant in that theme, and tracking how long that leadership persists. Stocks cannot appear on this list without first appearing on the FMP Launch Pad — the early-warning signal that identifies emerging momentum candidates before they reach the Top 10.
How FMP Identifies Momentum Leaders
FMP calculates quarterly price performance across all ASX-listed stocks and ranks the top 30 by momentum score — a composite measure that weights both the magnitude and the recency of price gains. From this Top 30, the 10 strongest performers are published weekly as the Momentum Leaders.
The Launch Pad is a secondary measure within the Top 30 framework. It identifies stocks showing early-stage momentum characteristics — accelerating price change, thematic alignment, and improving relative strength — before they break into the Top 10. Historically, patterns like this have preceded significant moves, though past performance is no guarantee of future results.
The framework is updated every Saturday. Members of the FMP community receive the data at 2pm each Friday — before public publication.

Leading Thematics This Week
Leading Thematics This Week
Technology holds three positions this week: Adisyn (AI1 — AI and digital identity), Megaport (MP1 — cloud networking infrastructure), and Weebit Nano (WBT — semiconductor memory). Adisyn's 37-day presence at +367% quarterly gain signals a structural institutional rerate rather than a single catalyst. Megaport's +27% weekly gain alongside Weebit Nano's +21% in the same week reinforces breadth across the sector — a characteristic consistent with sustained thematic accumulation rather than isolated episodic momentum. For pattern context, the FMP Complete VCP Trading Guide for ASX Markets covers the base structures commonly associated with this type of persistent leader. FMP's technology thematic hub will be linked here as it is published.
Clean Energy enters with two new names this week: Carnegie Clean Energy (CCE, +44% weekly) and Gold Hydrogen (GHY, +43% weekly), both making their Top 30 debut simultaneously. Both were identified by the FMP Launch Pad 44–45 days prior. The simultaneous entry of two clean energy names with near-identical weekly gains points to a thematic catalyst — policy, capital flows, or sector rotation — that had been building below the surface. FMP's clean energy thematic hub will be linked here as it is published.
Critical and Precious Minerals holds the top rank this week with Resource Mining Corporation (RMI, +140.74% quarterly, 30 days on list). RMI's project portfolio spans copper-gold in Tanzania and the Kola Lithium Project in Finland, adjacent to the Keliber lithium project currently in production — a multi-commodity profile across copper, gold, and lithium that aligns with three themes sustaining ASX momentum through 2026. FMP's critical minerals thematic hub will be linked here as it is published.
Oil and Gas holds one position: Jade Gas Holdings (JGH, +176% quarterly, 38 days on list, +25% this week). A positive weekly gain at day 38 of momentum persistence is an unusual durability signal. Also present this week: Besra Gold (BEZ, +73%, 45 days), Anteris Technologies (AVR, +43%, Healthcare/MedTech, new entrant), and Absolute Equity Performance Fund (AEG, +182%, Financial Services — property funds management pivot). FMP's thematic hubs for these themes will be linked here as they are published.
Launch Pad Performance This Week
Nine of this week's 10 momentum leaders were identified by the FMP Launch Pad before appearing on the public Top 10 list. The Launch Pad — accessible to FMP YouTube Members through the Momentum Leaders research hub — surfaces stocks building toward Top 30 qualification before they arrive there publicly.
The best Launch Pad performer this week is Adisyn (ASX: AI1) at +357.45% since identification 45 days ago. Second is Jade Gas Holdings (ASX: JGH) at +155.56% across the same lead time. Three companies — AI1, JGH, and Carnegie Clean Energy (CCE) — were all identified by the Launch Pad 45 days before this week's public list, meaning members with access to that Thursday's data were positioned 45 days before those stocks reached mainstream momentum visibility. Across the nine companies with Launch Pad data, the average gain since identification is approximately +86.9%.
Besra Gold (BEZ) is the one exception — identified by the Launch Pad only 3 days ago despite 45 days on the Top 30 list, reflecting a stock that built slowly through momentum qualification criteria before triggering the Launch Pad's secondary screen. Understanding the base-building characteristics that precede these kinds of extended momentum runs — contraction sequences, volume behaviour, trend structure — is covered in the FMP Complete VCP Trading Guide for ASX Markets.
Past performance is no guarantee of future results. Launch Pad return figures reflect historical gains for the stocks identified; they do not represent guaranteed outcomes.
